The Arc of Waking is an immersive theatre experience created as part of a one month residency at Watch This Space ARI in Alice Springs, NT and was held at the historic Old Gaol in April 2015.
It is a surreal interpretation of the biblical flood myth where audience members board an ark populated with strange characters and creatures that both guide and misguide them through their journey as the world outside is enveloped by rising waters.
The work attempts to challenge the audience to engage directly with an art experience and witness their influence upon it. They become in this way the central character of the work.
