scattered Shadows
Scattered Shadows was a durational performance and installation work which took place as part of Brisbane's 2high Festival in 2012. The work references themes of time, erasure, ecosystems and water as catalyst.
Over a period of 3 months, seeds of various colours were gathered from public spaces and public dialogues generated in the process. On the day of the festival, these seeds were placed in the shadow of the artist as she stood for 8 hours, the work being created and destroyed simultaneously as the environment impacted on the work.
Conceived and performed by Afsaneh Torabi
co-performed by Oscar Jackson Blair Allen
